Put under house arrest, says Mehbooba; cops refute her claim

Rejecting former chief minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s claim that she was “under house arrest”, J&K police on Wednesday said she was free to visit the Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Mehbooba had accused police of preventing her from visiting Pattan for a worker’s wedding as Union home minister Amit Shah was visiting the state.
