Consider making lawyers ad hoc judges in HCs: SC to Centre

With various high courts reeling under huge pendency of cases and a large number of judicial vacancies, a bench of Justices Sanjay K Kaul, Abhay S Oka and Vikram Nath said senior advocates are often not willing to take up permanent judgeship but inclined to accept the post of ad-hoc judge for a short tenure.
