Bank frauds jump 8 times in first half of FY25 over a year

In 2023-24, banks experienced the lowest fraud amounts in a decade and the least average fraud amount in 16 years. However, in the first half of FY25, the fraud amount surged to Rs 21,397 crore with internet and card frauds comprising a significant share.
